Welcome to the Waterfront Getaway in Sussex Inlet, an idyllic holiday rental nestled in the heart of Sussex Inlet, offering a serene and picturesque escape for up to eight guests. With its prime waterfront location, this charming retreat promises a memorable stay surrounded by nature's beauty.
Things to note about the property:
- Linen and towels are not supplied (contact our office for the local linen hire company)
- Shared Slipway Access (slipway located in the complex) (boat parking available)

Inside
As you step into the house, you are greeted by a spacious lounge and dining room on the left, providing a comfortable and inviting space to relax and unwind. On the right side of the house, you will find two well-appointed bedrooms, thoughtfully designed to ensure a restful night's sleep.
Continuing through the house, you'll discover an open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area on the left. The equipped kitchen allows you to prepare delicious meals, while the adjacent dining area invites you to savour your culinary creations. On the right side, you'll find the final bedroom, tastefully furnished, and designed to provide privacy and comfort.
Outside
Outside, the Waterfront Getaway boasts a delightful outdoor area, complete with comfortable furniture and a BBQ. Whether you're lounging with a book, enjoying a meal alfresco, or hosting a BBQ gathering, this outdoor space is perfect for embracing the coastal lifestyle.
One of the highlights of this rental is the stunning water views visible from the lounge room. The tranquil sight of the water adds a touch of serenity to your stay, allowing you to truly immerse yourself in the natural beauty that Sussex Inlet has to offer.
Please note that 'The Moorings' is a Private Estate and not a holiday resort. There are permanent residents with their private areas, which should be respected. Whilst staying at The Moorings, there are by-laws and rules to be observed, and should you proceed with a booking, a copy of these will be included with your booking confirmation letter.
Upon booking we require a security deposit plus credit card details. Once the property is inspected after your departure and no issues are found your security deposit will be released into your nominated bank account via BSB and Account Number and credit card details are destroyed within two weeks.

Fantastic location, offers almost everything
Heather - 5th January 2021We stayed here over Christmas 2020 and because plans had changed it was a last minute decision. This was one of the only properties left and I was a little apprehensive that we would find it a tight squeeze for 4 adults and 4 children at times. However, I so delighted with the space and room that we had once we arrived. I dont think the photos do the apartment justice. The 2 lounge areas provided us with ample room to spread ourselves over and offered the children their own private escape! The bedrooms were plenty big enough, and I was surprised with the en suite in the main! We really enjoyed our access to the water, our only negative was that there wasnt a private jetty for the house. We made this work by mooring too the bank in the eyelets that were fixed into the bank wall. This was perfectly fine for us, although it meant hubby got wet feet when mooring and going out on the boat. No big deal. Having the secure lock up for the trailer was great and access to the spacious garage. We loved the use of the pool and tennis court, both were available to us throughout the duration of our stay freely! I would highly recommend this accommodation. Great for families with older children as it isnt fenced to the water. 100% would stay here again!

Holiday in The Moorings. Sussex inlet
Nora - 8th October 2019The Moorings is a nice community. The tennis court and swimming pool are great, these added highlight to our holiday in Sussex. My family and I had fun, played tennis and did swimming.
Poorly cleaned

Bbq was disgusting, floors were dirty, air conditioner was mouldy and the ceiling fans were 3mm thick in dirt and scum. My wife spent the first half a day cleaning the place
Not worth the money
Susan - 17th January 2019This house hasn't been maintained for a long time. There are lots of broken items in the house (dryer, fridge shelf, bowls, laundry rack,) lots of old dishcloths and spilt cleaner under sink, and the outdoor pavers are almost black from mould/mildew. There is also no Wifi. Very disappointing for the money paid, we won't be going back unfortunately.
