Annual Rotary Duck Dash

Held 1st weekend of January

A day of fun and markets for the community. Come and see the rubber ducks race down the inlet in front of the RSL club at the end of Jacobs Dr. Try your luck, buy a duck and win some buck.

Choppers for Charity Weekend

Held in February

Bare foot bowls, sausage sizzles, variety stalls, a golfing day, street parade, dragon boats and the Care Flight helicopter all feature in this fun filled three day event.

SIBYC Annual Sailing Regatta

Held in February

Sussex Inlet Bowling Club Car Show

Held in April

Come and see the Ford Performance Vechicles, Holden Special Vechicles, Mustangs, Monaros,vintage and retros cars. On the reserve on the river side of the ‘Bowlo’ you can view your dream cars!

Fireworks and live entertainment provide a wonderful night for the whole faimly

B.R.O.E. – Fishing Competition

Held at the end of May

Beach, Rock, Ocean and Estuary fishing competition. If you love your fishing get amongst the $5000 cash and prizes. Mystery weights as well as largest target species. Entry includes lunch both days. Adults and juniors welcome. More info: sussexbowlo.fishingclub@hotmail.com

Sussex Inlet Annual Family Fishing Carnival

Held in July

A fishing competition in which all the family can participate, with over $25,000 in valuable prizes including cash to be won. The emphasis is on children enjoying the joys of fishing in a family atmosphere. Competitors can fish from the river bank, a boat, inside the basin or out in the ocean or off the rocks. This event is the longest running event of its type in Australia.

Viking Festival

Held in June

It’s celebration of the 140th anniversary of the arrival of Jacob Ellmoos to Sussex Inlet. Jacob Ellmoos came from the little Danish village of Ensted,near Hostrup, Aabenraa. The festival celebrates the first European settlers of our beautiful area of the Shoalhaven and will showcase local businesses, viking village and camp with tents and fire pit, cooking displays, viking games, armoured combat, knattleikr (kind of like medieval football), wrestling, crafts, rides for the kids, Scandinavian food, live music & entertainment and much more…. Sussex Inlet Colour Fun Run

Held in Feburary

Join us in Sussex Inlet for the second Colour Fun Run along the picturesque waterfront, whilst raising vital funds for Careflight. The event will cover approx 3.5km between Badgee Bridge in the north and Chris Creek Bridge in the south. Participants can run, walk or stroll their way along the course and enjoy lot of fun, music and colour>

October Long Weekend

A great family day with free admission, carnival rides, food & variety stalls, local ambulance, RFS displays, Dragon Boats and other entertainment.

The Annual Pink Night

Held in October

A fun filled pink themed night at the RSL Club to raise funds for Sussex Inlet Cancer Support Group who provide all kinds of support to the local community

Flatty Classic

Held in November

Honesty based catch and release competition. Target species Dusky Flathead. Lunch provided after a great day spent on the water trying to land that once in a lifetime fish. More info: sussexbowlo.fishingclub@hotmail.com
